This is very cool. It is a leucoagaricus naucina as mentioned before, it mean the white agaricus. But those of you familiar with the shaggy parasol, formerly known as macrolepiota rhacodes, see how similar they are in character including the stature, gills, spore colour and the reddish brown bruising on the stalk. I think that in the near future we will be seeing another name change. Maybe either to chlorophyllum naucina or the other direction leucoagaricus rhacodes. The white parasol is what it should be…..

So could you eat it? Well, if you really get to know it like an old friend, certainly. But If you’re not quite sure of the id on this one, don’t.
