Devon Botanical Garden Exhibit 2014

Greetings to all members of the Alberta Mycological Society – Please note that this special event is coming up very soon, so forward this message or print and share it with people you know who love mushrooms as much as you do — they won’t want to miss it!

Mushrooms, mushrooms everywhere — and some of them are edible!

The “City of Champignons” Mushroom Exhibit is back this year and will be held at the Pine Pavilion of the Devon Botanical Garden on Sunday, August 17 (from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM).

Everyone is welcome to the Great Show from the Earth!

This is a public demonstration hosted by the Alberta Mycological Society. As mycological ambassadors, we will amaze you with hundreds of edible and fascinating wild mushrooms, freshly collected just the day before. It’s a great educational experience for both members and visitors, as most mushrooms on display will be labeled.

Bring your own mushrooms to have them identified by an expert.

Browse our special displays featuring edible, poisonous, and medicinal mushrooms. Check out our selection of field guides and coffee-table books. Purchase mushroom-themed items like posters, books, t-shirts, and more. Sign up for membership or upcoming events. Enjoy slideshows, a talk, and a guided garden walk, among other activities.

Our Wild Mushroom Café will delight your taste buds with delicious snacks.
