Join us for a weekend immersion of mushroom education, fun and scientific pursuit as we survey the East Slope fungi in the Nordegg area.
This weekend of mushroom picking includes: lectures, an Introductory Mushroom ID course, hands-on identification and rubbing shoulders with world class mushroom experts. Confirmed Mycologists for this year include; Larry Evans” of “Know your Mushrooms” film fame, Polypore guru Dr. Jim Ginns, former curator of the Mycological Herbarium in Ottawa and past president of the Mycological Society of America, and the always fascinating and entertaining Paul Kroeger who bring his unique insights and understanding of fungal lifestyles.
