These were found in grass near a forested ravine in Edmonton. White with cream/tan shading on top. Dark pink turning brown gills. Ragged ring had brown topside. Stalk stained Brownish pink. In fridge overnight the stalk stain looks more yellowish. Agaricus edibility? Enough to know it doesn’t stain yellow at first?

If you leave them moist they will go bad in a hurry, salt may help. Dry them and they go black and do not rehydrate all that well. You end up grinding them for mushroom powder which is a waste when you can pickle them. Best way to eat leccinums in my mind and taste.

I left it where it was but I did scratch the stem and the cap both scratches stayed white. Would cutting the stem react different from scratching it? In the 4th picture I took you can see the scratch I made lengthwise down the stem its facing straight up.
This one is a tricholoma flavovirens, the man on horseback. There are two other mushrooms that look almost identical. Tricholoma suflurereum which stinks real bad and Tricholoma sulrurescens which just smells bad.
